Introducing Non-Resident Global Accounts

I'm not great at keeping secrets. If you're buying a gift for your significant other and ask for my opinion, I'll likely tell them what you picked out.  If there's a new product launch scheduled for this week, I might have already let the cat out of the bag last week (oops!). I see these as giving a heads-up rather than spoiling the surprise. But now we can get into the nitty gritty of it all. Let's get started!

Over the past year, we've been focused on expanding global account access for our fintech and platform customers using the Routefusion API.  So what does that mean for your business? I learn best by using examples, so let's role play.

I m a g i n e you’re a platform, based in Hong Kong, living that high tech lifestyle, wheelin and dealin, closing deals, all that stuff. Your customers are exotic chocolate makers shipping to the U.S., E.U., and China, and they want--NO, they NEED a sweet and simple way to collect payments. As we all know, waiting for payments from other countries is a total time-suck, exchange rates are all over the place, and fees are too damn high. This ties up their capital and slows down their growth, AND yours.

How Do You (and Your Customer) Get Out of This Sticky Situation? That’s Where Routefusion Comes in.

Routefusion’s Non-Resident Global Accounts solution is shaking things up and fueling growth for international businesses (that's you!! and your chocolate making friends!). Let’s look back at our example: the exotic chocolate makers can now collect USD, EUR, and CNH (and so many more currencies) in ⚡️LOCAL⚡️ accounts. Payments roll in faster because payers use local rails. Your chocolate exporters can then bring these funds home in local currency quickly, with competitive exchange rates and low fees. Plus, they can easily manage their ledger to keep track of all these delicious transactions.  How awesome is that??  Global Accounts, Real-Time Payments, top tier customer support, Routefusion has it all.

The Next Questions Are: Which Countries? What Currencies?

Standard Markets. Routefusion offers Non-Resident Global Accounts in 12 locations, enabling customers to receive payments in the corresponding 12 currencies (see Table 1). Payouts are enabled in over 140 currencies (see Table 2).

Other Markets.  We can open a named onshore account in the currencies listed below, except for sanctioned countries. For non-standard markets, the same payout currencies are available. Initial compliance approval is required, followed by 24-hour onboarding for downstream customers.

Named Accounts.  Named accounts are located in the country of the currency. For example, CAD accounts are domiciled in Canada 🇨🇦.

Routefusion Goes a Step Further by Offering:
